7/26/2002 - Career Concepts building new headquarters

A career advancement consultant founded in December 1998 will move into new headquarters shortly after celebrating its fourth anniversary.
Marlene Wallace, president of Career Concepts Inc., says work will begin next month on her company's new $500,000, 3,000-square-foot building in Meadow Brook Office Park and finish by the end of the year.
Wallace says her firm, which helps clients develop their careers, needed room to grow. Career Concepts' eight employees formerly occupied 1,800 square feet at the Colonnade before moving into temporary quarters in Inverness in June. Revenue is expected to approach $1 million this year.
Irby Cohen of Bayer Realty Co. represented Wallace in her purchase of the lot from Bruno & Associates Realty Inc. The general contractor is Hallmark Builders Inc. and the architect is Patrick Stout.
